With a winding trunk characteristic of natural bonsai trees, this metal tree sculpture takes its name from the Omiya Bonsai Village in Japan. The welder has been used to give the bark an organic and distressed quality, with gnarled knots detailed into the design to create a sense of age and interest. Each branch has been individually applied by hand to create lifelike characteristics that are unique to this welded tree sculpture. Finished with matt lacquer, the Omiya Pine is handcrafted using primarily reclaimed and recycled metals and mounted on an open metal channel base.
